Description
This hardware shimming kit is designed to fine-tune the install of your front or rear brake caliper when installing the 250mm Race Spec rotor and caliper adapter.
Please note that most OEM Surron/Talaria/ERP applications will not need this shim kit however, some late model fork and aftermarket caliper combinations will need some fine-tuning with the post-mount system and shims to get proper alignment and clearance from the rotor.
Some people get upset when they realize they need shims, but this is the reality of the standard post-mount system in the MTB world as not all OEM calipers and aftermarket calipers and integrated post-mounts on forks are dimensioned exactly the same. There can be up to 3mm of difference between some model calipers and fork post mounts.
This kit includes (4) M6 x 2mm anodized black aluminum washers, (4) M6 x 1mm carbon steel (stainless) washers and (2) M6 x 25mm allen bolts..
It is almost impossible for us to identify every application where shims and shorter bolts are needed but here is a short list:

I have the 250mm race rotors front and rear on my 72v MX4 and needed better stopping power, these rotors paired with Formula emoto brakes is a game changer and this bike Stops now. Look outstanding on my 18/21 Milk wheel set as well.
