Questions riders ask
How long do Blackline wheels take?
Wheels-only orders take approximately 2-3 weeks to build, followed by an estimated 7-10 business days in transit after shipment.
Ready-to-Ride wheelsets take approximately 3-4 weeks to build and have tires mounted, followed by an estimated 5-7 business days in transit after shipment.
A magnesium finish adds about five business days before shipment.
Where are Blackline wheels built and shipped?
Our wheel build team builds Blackline wheels to our specification. Wheels-only orders ship directly to you. Ready-to-Ride orders come to our Redmond, Oregon shop for tire mounting before shipment.
When do in-stock parts ship?
In-stock parts ordered by noon PT, Monday-Friday, ship the same day. Check the product page for stock status. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on holidays ship the next business day.
What do custom finishes cost?
Choose your finish in the wheel builder to see its price and any added build time.
Do tires qualify for free shipping?
Eligible orders of $75 or more after discounts qualify for free standard shipping in the lower 48. Orders containing tires are excluded, except Ready-to-Ride wheelsets, which include free standard shipping in the lower 48.
Can I return an item?
Eligible unused parts can be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to the returns policy. A 10% restocking fee applies to ordinary parts. Built-to-order wheels have separate cancellation and return terms. Start a return through our returns portal before sending anything back.
You may cancel your built-to-order wheel order without a cancellation fee within 48 hours of order confirmation. Changes requested within that period have no change-order fee; any price difference still applies. After 48 hours, a change-order fee applies. Cancellation and change charges depend on the type of request and your order's production stage. Email support@rippinmoto.com with your order number. We will confirm the applicable charges before processing your request.
Mounted means either tires fitted to wheels or wheels installed on a bike. Mounted, installed, or ridden wheels and tires are not eligible under the standard unused-item return policy. Because Ready-to-Ride sets arrive with tires mounted by Rippin Moto, requests to return those sets are reviewed case by case. Contact us for approval before sending a set back.
What does the warranty cover?
Warranty coverage varies by product. See the warranty page for coverage periods, exclusions, and how to make a claim.
Can these products be used on public roads?
Rippin Moto products are intended for off-road or closed-course use only. Riders are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Installing these products does not establish that a bike is legal for public-road use.
